Updates

  • When students have more than $15 in breakfast/lunch charges, they will be given an alternative lunch.

  • Just a reminder that only plain water is allowed in water bottles here at school. This is due to possible accidental spills.

Attendance Tip of the Week

Daily attendance keeps your child on pace with classmates. Students learn together, share ideas, and build knowledge as a group. Being present every day ensures your child can fully participate in these shared learning experiences.

Students are allowed 18 unexcused hours before not earning the Christmas incentive. Remember excused hours will never count against students for the incentive.

Students are considered excessively absent in a school year when they miss 38 hours in a month or 65 hours in a school year. This includes both excused and unexcused hours.

Students are considered habitually truant if they miss 42 hours in a month or 72 hours in a school year. This includes only unexcused hours.

Reading Tip of the Week

Take turns reading aloud. Modeling fluent, expressive reading helps your child, and listening to them read provides practice.

Math Tip of the Week

Talk about math vocabulary. Ask: “What does product mean?” or “What does perimeter mean?” Understanding language makes problem-solving easier.

PBIS Expectations

Did you know that PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports? As a school, we have school wide PBIS expectations throughout the building. You may hear your student talking about these things.
